Introduction
The Personal Enhancement in Academic Research (PEAR) is a comprehensive course designed to provide Master’s and Ph.D. student with the knowledge, skills, and support necessary to excel in their academic research journey. The course is divided into three phases, each focusing on different aspect of academic research and thesis completion.
Phase 1. The purpose of introducing Professional Enhancement and Academic Research (PEAR) Phase 1 is to give students with a complete and systematic approach to research skill development, allowing them to excel in all elements of the research process. PEAR provides a comprehensive curriculum that includes research formulation, hypothesis development, literature review strategies, research methodologies, ethical considerations, data collection and analysis techniques, as well as academic writing and presentation skills. Students will learn the knowledge required to traverse the multidimensional environment of research, change their designs depending on feedback, successfully evaluate findings, and explain their results with clarity and accuracy by engaging in Professional Enhancement and Academic Research (PEAR).
Phase 2. The inclusion of the Professional Enhancement and Academic Research (PEAR) program for Phase 2 is supported by its comprehensive curriculum, which is aimed to provide participants with critical skills in data analysis and research procedures. Participants will obtain expertise in SPSS software via the training, enabling them to comfortably traverse its interface and perform core data management activities such as data import, cleaning, and descriptive statistics calculation. Furthermore, Professional Enhancement and Academic Research (PEAR) enables learners to use inferential statistical tests inside SPSS, such as t-tests, ANOVA, correlation, and regression, encouraging the capacity to evaluate and effectively convey findings.
Phase 3. The introduction of the Professional Enhancement and Academic Research (PEAR) for Phase 3 is well justified by its comprehensive curriculum customized to satisfy the advanced demands of participants in their path towards thesis completion. The program’s goals include a wide range of important skills and competences, from improving research methodology to understanding the complexities of defense and viva procedures.
