UMX-CORE is a central platform that links different applications to real-world use, essentially bridging the gap between learning and executing commands. It is a low-code platform that simplifies learning and usage through block coding, reducing the need for extensive manual coding. The training module encompasses connectivity, data handling functionalities, AI modeling, data integration and the user interface.
This shortcourse is designed to achieve the following:
(a) Simplify ROS Usage: Enable learners to understand and utilize ROS effectively, simplifying the process of developing robotic applications.
(b) Integrate Different Systems: Teach learners how to integrate various systems seamlessly using ROS, fostering interoperability between different components.
(c) Node Flow Programming: Familiarize users with the Node flow programming method, allowing them to connect and control different functionalities through drag-and-drop actions on a programming canvas.
(d) Reduce Code Complexity: Train learners to reduce the complexity of code by leveraging visual programming paradigms, thereby making ROS accessible even to those with limited programming experience.
(e) Streamline Development: Equip learners with the skills to streamline the development process of robotic applications, enabling faster iteration and deployment.
(f) Business and Industry 4.0 Applications: Educate participants on the potential of robots in enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving safety within business operations, particularly in the context of Industry 4.0 advancements.
The UMX-Core Competency Certificate will be awarded by the University Malaya, upon successful completion of the each level and meeting the certification requirements.
